Don’t go by the term “basic,”
as this system is said
to be effective, with
the possibility of players
gaining an advantage over
the house – but only in
land-based casinos. The
effectiveness of betting
using this system is claimed
to be 97% and hundreds
of card counters vouch
by this system.
In
this system, each and
every card dealt to the
player is assigned a specific
value of +1, 0 or -1.
Aces and the face cards
are of -1 value; cards
7, 8 and 9 are valued
at 0 and cards 2, 3, 4,
5 and 6 are +1. If the
first player is dealt
cards 2 and 8 (+1 and
0), the second player
is dealt a 10 and a 2
(-1 and +1), the third
player is dealt a 9 and
a 5 (0 and +1) and the
up-card of the dealer
is an Ace (-1), the count
in a single deck is +1.
The
player using this system
has to add and subtract
by 1 to keep a count of
the complete deck. The
idea behind this method
is that it tells a player
what cards are remaining
in the deck, whether they
are High cards or Low
cards. Halfway through
the deck, if the value
is high, that means more
of face cards, 10s and
aces are remaining rather
than low cards. If the
value is low, that means
there are more of the
low cards that are left
in the deck. Where there
are more of 10s and Aces
left in the deck, the
player has more of a chance
of getting Blackjack.
This
knowledge gives the blackjack
player confidence to double
the bets at the right
time. When the deck is
finished, the count should
be 0. Finally, players
must know that card counting
is illegal. Play slots,
baccarat, blackjack and
more at online
casinos.
